He did it!

Ollie did it!!! He completed HIS LAST SPINAL treatment today! No more methotrexate into his spine and no more Vincristine through his port!!! Huge milestone!!!! 🙌

He only has 31 days of treatment to go!🦸‍♂️

.

It was a surreal moment, as he was getting prepped for the procedure I told our nurse that it feels like just yesterday he was diagnosed and yet at the same time it feels like a lifetime. 💝

.

.

Ollie has been bursting with energy these past couple weeks as he’s had to have a hold on his nightly medicine due to high liver numbers. This toxicity means that his liver is working super had and needs some time to level out on its own before if/when he will take it until his end of treatment in late April. We’re awaiting those results and should get them in the next couple days. 🙏

It’s been a pure delight to see him so bright eyed and full of energy the past two weeks. He’s been able to sleep through the night and the “belly medicine” the GI specialist prescribed has been working so all the nights he was waking up and getting sick have been at bay! Phew! 😁

.

.

Today he starts his LAST and FINAL, 5 day steroid pulse!! We’re hoping it won’t hit him too hard this time around but we’ll take it one day at a time. 👍

.

He’s slated to end treatment at the end of April and then his port removal surgery will be sometime late May/ early June. And then he’ll officially be done and we can celebrate! 🎉
